The creators of Dittyverse believe that the massive social networks that exist today to create brands and share media will morph into platforms for collaboration. Dittyverse wants to be at the forefront offering a simply twitter-like experience for the collaborative creation of music, poetry and film.
Working with the creators of Dittyverse, MTG helped the product owner define the user stories for a minimum viable product (MVP). The MTG Project Manager then worked with the product owner and the development team to groom the stories and apply the appropriate story points to assess level of effort for each user story. We then worked with the product owner to insert the MVP user stories into four iterative sprints based on the assigned story points. Each development and QA team member then broke user stories down into tasks with estimated hours assigned by the team member. During the development process we conducted daily 15 minute stand-up meetings to discuss status. Once user stories were developed and QA’ed, the user stories were demonstrated and approved by the product owner. User stories that failed testing or product owner approval were blocked and returned to the development team. Our team performed Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives as well so we could apply lessons learned to the next sprint.
Using Scrum Agile project development techniques, we were able to complete Dittyverse development on time and on budget. The mobile app went through three more releases adding new capabilities that extended the ability of the MVP.
